Bethel Children’s Homes

Bethel Children’s Homes have been in operation since 1998 when the first home opened with 11 girls. Since then two new homes have been built to house more girls on the same property. An additional property was purchased to house boys. All of the children in the homes have been affected in some way by the war and civil unrest in Sri Lanka.

The homes have government permission to care for up to 40 children. They maintain a family-like environment by ensuring a high level of individual care. The homes ensure all children are sent to primary and secondary schools within the community, assures all medical and healthcare needs are met, provides all subsistence needs (i.e. food, clothing, shelter, water, sanitation, recreation etc.), and commits to continually support their overall physical, emotional, mental and intellectual development.

Benjamin and Asinate Wari

Benjamin and Asinate Wari are missionaries to Vanuatu. They are based near Luganville on the northern island of Espiritu Santo at our World Missions Faith Training School (WMFTS) property.

Benjamin is from Papua New Guinea (PNG). He is the son of one of our senior pastors at Bethel Tabernacle of Praise Church in Port Moresby. He has been part of the church his whole life and has served in various different capacities. He spent a few months in the Philippines as a short-term missionary prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was based in our church in Pasig initially and also ministered in other churches. In 2022 he operated as principal of WMFTS at Bethel International Training College (BITC) in Port Moresby.

Asinate is from  Fiji. She went to PNG as a student in 2018 and completed WMFTS before enrolling in the Bethel Preschool Teacher Training Course at BITC. She graduated as a preschool teacher in 2020. She met Benjamin in PNG and they got married.

Benjamin will take on the role of principal at WMFTS Vanuatu. He will also be responsible for maintaining the property. There are plans to begin a preschool on the WMFTS property which Asinate will be heavily involved in. She will be our head teacher and will be responsible for the running of the preschool.
